MEXICO – Las Ventanas al Paraiso Resort (2017)

First time in Mexico.

We knew that the resort we chose for our vacation in the neighboring country of Mexico is a very well known place where "an endless slate of A-list celebs" go.
Our ten-day stay confirmed all the excellent services and reviews the beautiful Las Ventanas al Paraíso (Windows to Paradise) has.

Here is my Las Ventanas story.

Las Ventanas al Paraiso
The Arrival.
The smoothest services started from the very moment we set foot at the airport in Cabo San Lucas and the Las Ventanas driver came to greet us... cold towels, refreshing bottled water, Coronitas, and a local selection of sweets were all prepared for us to enjoy during the transfer from the airport to the resort...

Las Ventanas al Paraiso
We did not know when we checked in...
Las Ventanas has no reception desk...
The enjoyment and relaxation started at the moment we got down from the car... our luggage was taken away immediately and the only things we remember are the Margaritas offered to us at the entrance before we could even blink... the personal tour of the resort property... fantastic attention to all details...

The entrance to our suite, # 503.
We loved our suite, a very generous size (960 sqft / 89 sqm) and with a private outdoor terrace offering beautiful views of the main pool and the Sea of Cortez.

Mexican motifs and details in the interior design evoke the essence of Mexico’s Baja region: from the headboards, to flooring, ceiling, tiles, the fireplace, the decorative objects, the art, the bedding, everything is thoughtfully and beautifully composed.
Sophia's favorite design element was the headboard(s).
... On a separate note, I enjoyed the luxurious and delicate Bvlgari bath and body products which also reminded me of The Kahala Resort in Honolulu, Hawaii, two years ago when we had the same products.

Las Ventanas al Paraiso
Personalized details surprised us so pleasantly... Sophia was very happy for the pillowcase with her name on it and the bee, although she would have preferred a unicorn design instead, she said... the LVP stands for Las Ventanas al Paraiso.

Complimentary tequila in our suite for the duration of our entire 10-day vacation.

Isn't this "Do Not Disturb" sign charming?

(The view from) the terrace of our suite... a space and a gorgeous view, of the main pool and the Sea of Cortez, all three of us loved.

A good run on the beach (followed by a good swimming in the pool) is the perfect way for me to begin the vacation days.

Las Ventanas al Paraiso
The infinity pool where I swam in every morning -- the pool was indeed all mine at that early hour, and I could swim, and swim, and swim, and do not get tired in here... what a tranquil blend of pool, sea, and sky...

"Las Ventanas al Paraiso" (Windows to Paradise) is written afresh on the sand each morning.

Sophia loves the beach...

... she loves the pool(s) and the unique landscapes at Las Ventanas...

Sophia could spend entire days in the water...

Beautiful things and local plants are incorporated in the landscape design around every corner.

From breakfast to dinner, and from the local to the high-end international cuisine, the food was excellent... and the visual presentation completed the experience...

A highlight of the Las Ventanas services we had and which I would really like to emphasize, is that, beside a pan-seared foie gras both my husband and I love and requested for dinner, also, at my request, several traditional Mexican dishes were prepared specially for me at breakfast:
- Menudo soup,
and
- stuffed Poblano chile, among them.
All of them were delicious.
Many thanks to the executive sous chef Macia Martinez for making these delightful Mexican dishes for me.

The place becomes even more magical in the evening for wonderful, very slow-paced dinners with live music every night.

Beautiful design and things around every corner... the view of the beach and the water from the roof terrace...

One of the heart-decorated trees on the resort...

Las Ventanas al Paraiso
Several lovely surprises and souvenirs were prepared for us on our last day at Las Ventanas... here, before leaving, Sophia was faced with a hard decision when invited to choose a souvenir toy from a cart full...

Las Ventanas al Paraiso
At our departure the same smooth, elegant, and flawless services that greeted us from the very beginning... we did not know when we checked out... we remember the souvenirs which were offered to us starting from after breakfast... the staff waiving at us until the car was completely out of sight... excellent services overall... no detail overlooked... warm and unbelievably well trained and knowledgeable staff...
Thank you to our butlers, Gerardo, Aaron, and Daniel, for all their attention in making our stay so pleasant and memorable.

The ten wonderful days spent at Las Ventanas will linger in our memories...

Back to California (a windy weekend), and wearing a favorite reminder of Mexico, a handmade Taxco breastplate necklace.
